「DesignXcel」2018 - Collaboration Programme for Emerging Young Design Talents
The 「DesignXcel」2018 will faithfully extend the collaborative brand spirit from 2017. Design Council of Hong Kong, established by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, will carry forward the programme comprising a three-day exhibition at DesignInspire 2018 in Hong Kong, two mini-exhibitions in Guangzhou and Macau, a digital directory to list the emerging local design talents, and a publication to storytelling the beauties of collaboration. 「DesignXcel」 sets out to act as the perpetual intermediate platform to link the industrial sectors with emerging designers for co-creation projects. It takes further to highlight the capability of Hong Kong to line up sophisticated collaborations between design talents, and the industrial entrepreneurs on the economic level. The partnership will provide practical mutual support for the partners in the areas of industry expertise, technical advice, material supply, design concepts and innovations, offering a space for designers and companies to take opportunities. A cluster of collaborative cases with added values will also pack with various design-related activities such as mini-exhibitions, conference, workshops/seminars and guided tours. It holistically upgrades the international image of design in Hong Kong and promotes the unique brand of “Designed by Hong Kong”.
Over 10 partnering local design schools, around 100 out of above 4,000 design graduates each year during 2015-18 are nominated to work with around 50 companies from industries such as Graphics, Advertising & Visual Communication, Product & Industrial, Fashion & Image, Digital & Interactive, Architecture, Interior, Spatial & Environmental designs. The「DesignXcel」2018 exhibition will be held from 6 – 8 December 2018 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and will bring the fruits of the collaborations to life.

《設計列陣》2018 - 新晉年輕設計人才合作計劃
香港工業總會成立的香港設計委員會將延續2017年「聯校設計展」的協作品牌精神舉辦《設計列陣》2018。其協作成果除了在為期三天的 DesignInspire 2018 與大灣區（廣州及澳門）展出以外，連同2018年的新晉設計師的電子目錄不僅在網上平台發佈，並且輯錄成書。《設計列陣》以專業的中介平台為本，緊密聯繫工業界和新晉設計師共創發展項目；展示香港設計人才和企業家協作間的綜合水平，足以促進經濟發展和提升效益。協作範疇不僅是專業知識、技術諮詢、材料供應，乃至設計理念和創新領域的相互支援，為新晉設計師和企業公司長遠發展提供機遇。緊湊的小型展覽、研討會、工作坊和導賞團細說著香港設計如何為企業增值的協作故事。一系列的活動提升「香港設計」的整體國際形象，藉此推廣「香港設計」成為獨特品牌。
香港於2015至2018年間每年約有4,000名設計畢業生，於今年超過10間間合作的本地設計學校中，有超過100名畢業生被提名。《設計列陣》涵蓋五大主要設計範疇：廣告及視覺傳播、產品及工業、時裝及形象，數碼與互動，建築、室內、空間及環境等設計，屆時將展出應屆及歷屆三年畢業生與約50家公司之間的協作故事及其成品。 《設計列陣》2018展覽將於2018年12月6日至8日在香港會議展覽中心舉行，將合作的成果帶入生活。
