Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) & IVE (Lee Wai Lee) collaborated with design institutions and museums from Sweden, Germany and Switzerland to organize 4 international design exhibitions at the HKDI Gallery, d-mart and Experience Center.  The exhibitions are held from November 2014 till end of March 2015.

The Chief Secretary Carrie LAM CHENG Yuet-ngor was the guest of honour at the grand inaugural.  Eric Yim, Chairman of the Design Council of Hong Kong, was one of the officiating guests at the inaugural. 

The 4 international design exhibitions include Japanese Poster Artists – Cherry Blossom and Asceticism showcasing over two hundred pieces of Japanese poster works from the 1950s to the present day, Re Rag Rug – contemporary Rug Design by Studio Brieditis & Evans: Sweden presenting 12 re-created rugs utilizing waste and excess from the textile industry, Every products Tells a Story – Untold Matters of Red Dot Award-Winning Designs comprising 21 award-winning products narrating the story behind each object and ECAL Diplomas – Best emerging designers from Switzerland showcasing around 30 projects originating from both Bachelor and Master’s degrees of ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne.

After the inaugural ceremony, the guest of honour was accompanied by Dr. Clement CHEN, Chairman of VTC, Eric Yim and other guests to tour the exhibition. 

HKDI及IVE（李惠利）與來自瑞典、德國及瑞士的設計機構及博物館合作，分別於 HKDI Gallery、d-mart 及 Experience Centre舉行四個大型國際級設計展覽。展覽活動由2014年11月至2015年3月尾舉行。

當日的主禮嘉賓為政務司司長林鄭月娥。香港設計委員會主席嚴志明是其中一位主持開幕儀式的嘉賓。

四個設計展覽包括: Japanese Poster Artists – Cherry Blossom and Asceticism 展示 20 張由 1950 年代至現今的日本海報設計，Re Rag Rug–contemporary Rug Design by Studio Brieditis & Evans: Sweden充份利用紡織業棄置或剩餘的資源，為 12 張創作「地氈」重新定義，Every products Tells a Story – Untold Matters of Red Dot Award-Winning Design述說21件獲設計獎作品背後的故事，ECAL Diplomas – Best emerging designers from Switzerland 展覽呈現約30件來自該校學士及碩士課程畢業生的作品。

開幕禮完畢後，職業訓練局主席陳鎮仁博士、嚴志明及一眾重要嘉賓帶領主禮嘉賓參觀展覽。
