The Hong Kong D-Mark Launch Ceremony 「香港D嘜設計認證啟動禮」

The Design Council of Hong Kong (DCHK), under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) organized the Hong Kong D-Mark Launch Ceremony on 19 March 2015 at the FHKI’s headquarter. The guest of honor Philip Yung Wai-hung, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism) officiated at the ceremony. He presented D-Mark certificates to twenty-five D-Mark holders for their achievement in having an effective framework to harness quality designs.

The guest of honor was delighted to see enterprises putting their commitment to nurturing design and creativity in their businesses. He hoped that in the near future, more enterprises would apply the D-Mark certification. DCHK’s Chairman and FHKI’s Deputy Chairman Eric Yim expressed that D-Mark enhanced the image of enterprises, and allowed them to demonstrate to their customers their priority in design. Furthermore D-Mark could help to promote the value and benefits of excellent designs to the business community and the general public.

The guest of honor, DCHK’s Chairman and FHKI’s Deputy Chairman Eric Yim, the FHKI’s Deputy Chairmen Ir Daniel Cheng, Jimmy Kwok and Dr. Daniel Yip, participated in a simple yet grand kick-off ceremony in which D-Mark logo was lit up. The gesture signified that D-Mark added a new milestone in the design history of Hong Kong. After the ceremony, the guest of honor visited a D-Mark exhibition in which over ten D-Mark holder showcased their design works. He was impressed by the spectacular works exhibited. Participants also enjoyed sharing their experience with guests in how design added value to their businesses.

香港工業總會（工總）轄下的香港設計委員會於2015年3月19日假座工總舉行「香港D嘜設計認證啟動禮」港D嘜設計認證啟動禮」，主禮嘉賓商務及經濟發展局常任秘書長（工商及旅遊）容偉雄出席啟動禮，並頒發准用證給25間企業，表揚他們擁有良好機制管理及善用設計。

主禮嘉賓出席啟動禮致辭時表示，喜見業界重視設計文化，並積極培育企業創意，期望今後有更多企業申請D嘜。香港設計委員會主席及香港工業總會副主席嚴志明亦表示，D嘜有助提升企業形象，讓公司有機會向顧客顯示他們重視設計，並不遺餘力推動傑出設計，及協助業界向其他公司及社會推廣設計的價值和好處。

大會特別安排簡單而隆重的亮燈儀式，主禮嘉賓、香港設計委員會主席及工總副主席嚴志明、工總副主席鄭文聰、郭振華以及葉中賢博士眾人合力將D-Mark標誌亮起，象徵D-Mark在企業界發光發亮，為香港設計史上增添多一項耀眼里程碑。啟動禮結束後，主禮嘉賓參觀場內由10多間獲D-Mark認證之企業組成的小型展覽，欣賞不同具創意設計的產品。而參展的企業，亦樂於分享設計如何為產品增值的經驗。
