i.Dummy – A Revolutionary Physical Fitting Avatar

Design Council of Hong Kong's Chairman Mr. Eric Yim and members visited PolyU on 22 April 2016 for an introduction and demonstration of the usage of i.Dummy.  The i.Dummy was developed by Dr. Allan Chan, Associate Head & Associate Professor at PolyU's Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC).  It is a robotic mannequin for the Fashion Industry.  It enables users to adjust and achieve over hundreds of human body measurements and shapes with just few clicks on computer.  As of todate, Dr. Chan has received numerous internationally acclaimed awards on i.Dummy.  After the demonstration, Dr. Chan led members to visit various facilities of ITC.

香港設計委員會主席嚴志明先生及會員於2016年4月22日出席香港理工大學I.Dummy的介紹。 i.Dummy 是由香港理工大學紡織及製衣學系副系主任及副教授陳志駒博士研發出來。 它是為時裝行業而設的機械人模特兒 ，讓用家利用電腦簡單操作輕鬆調節尺寸，實現過百種人體身型的革命性智能試身模特兒。直至現在，i.Dummy 已榮獲眾多國際獎項。陳博士介紹i.Dummy後，亦帶領會員參觀紡織及製造學系的不同設施。
